Janet K. Song, DDS - Family Dental Care in Fairfax is your local single visit provider of esthetic ceramic crowns or partial crowns.  Our patients benefit from the faster, more comfortable treatment with no impression tray, no temporary and only one anesthetic injection. We are proud to offer you the best modern treatment – with CEREC!

Crowns are a cosmetic restoration used to strengthen a tooth or improve its shape. Crowns are most often used for teeth that are broken, worn, or partially destroyed by tooth decay. If a natural tooth-colored porcelain crown is chosen, our CEREC® CAD/CAM treatment gives patients a completed permanent crown in just one office visit.

Step 1 - Scan

After your consultation, our team use the camera to capture the area to be treated. Say goodbye to biting on impression material for several minutes, having a numb mouth and jaw ache. We now have a camera that can capture your full dentition in seconds and then transfer this to the computer.

Step 2 - Design

After your scan, our doctors will create a 3D model on the computer of the dental prothesis.

Step 3 - Build

The restoration created on the computer is subsequently milled from a ceramic block. Temporary prostheses are exactly what the name suggests: temporary. With CEREC the final prosthesis is built and restored at the same visit.

Step 4 - Restore

The finished ceramic restoration is inserted just a little while later. CEREC enables us to insert esthetic ceramic crowns or partial crowns in a single session.
